Kelly Brook’s Top Beauty Tips (and mishaps!)

 Our fab friends at Cosmo sent us some insider goss on Kelly Brook’s top makeup look, how she needs to wax more and eerr.. her odd nipple mishap. You can read the full interview in the March copy of Cosmopolitan out on Monday.

What’s your biggest beauty crime?..

Not seeing my waxer as much as I should! My boyfriend sometimes has to ask me to make an appointment!

Do you feel lots of pressure to look your best and stay a certain weight?

I’d look after myself whether in the limelight or not, so I don’t feel any pressure. When I did Strictly Come Dancing, the weight came off anyway so I didn’t have a choice!

How do you pamper yourself?

I love going to day spas to have a body scrub and sit in the steam room for ages. I also have a massage every Wednesday and Saturday to chill me out.

What’s your favourite makeup look?

One of my top tips to lift the eyes is to cut false lashes in half and just stick them on the outer corners.

Have you ever had a mishap on stage?

Once in Calendar Girls,the audience started to laugh. I was feeling self-conscious as I thought they were laughing at me but I realised that one of my co-star’s pearl earrings had dropped off and was hanging from my jumper on my nipple!

Do you have any beauty-related regrets?

I used to pluck my eyebrows too much; they were like porno arches! I like them bushy now.

Would you ever have cosmetic surgery?

Well, I’ve made it to 30 without it and I’m happy with the way I am… but never say never!

What are your favourite and least favourite parts of your body? I like my waist as it goes in and I can eat lots of puddings! My downfall would be my nails as they’re so messy and break easily. What do you do to relax? I clean my makeup brushes and clear out my shoes. I also love cooking.

So she has been all over the press at the moment on the TV, internet and in print this lady is truly a phenomenon and our team at the Beauty Quest just adore her. The girl of our times with a huge following has teamed up with YouTube and Orange to create five ‘Make up Look’ tutorials. Lauren is helping the BAFTA Orange Rising Star Award to feature red carpet make up looks from five of the current and previous celebrity nominees: Sienna Miller, Naomie Harris, Eva Green, Kristen Stewart and Carey Mulligan. I recently went along for a makeup tutorial at Becca Cosmetics, the uber chic Aussie brand adored by A-Listers.. and walked out feeling literally like a new person..! I was very wary of ‘make up lessons’, as have previously walked out of certain department stores resembling an extra from a pantomine.. But not at Becca. My lovely makeup artist Jenna really talked to me about what look I wanted, and I felt totally at ease with her- she talked me through the Becca programme and I finally understood the importance of things like primer and decent foundation brushes. A little while later (and a few glasses of champagne- very nice touch!!) I walked out looking like I’d just come back from a rejuvenating weekend away somewhere fabulous- flawless skin, sunkissed, dewy in the right places, glossy lashes, eyes and mouth gently enhanced with divine smelling products. I can’t recommend Becca products, and the Becca makeup tutorial enough. Fave product is the Beach Tint (as loved by Kate Winslet)- smells like watermelon and gives a gorgeous flush to lips and cheeks. Georgie x
