THE DIOR 2009 CHRISTMAS LOOK UNVEILED

Around this time I start to wince at the very mention of Christmas and with the media furor focusing on the fact that we are only have two pay cheques till the big day, I keep breaking into a cold sweat. Then I get sent the details on the new Dior Christmas cosmetics collection and suddenly the future looks all sparkly and bright.

The Dior 2009 Christmas Look is created by makeup maestro, Tyan. Tyan is as celebrated for his skill as a photographer as he has for his talent and expertness of cosmetics, colours and trends. He has been collaborating with Dior for decades. Their successful partnership was recently honored by the French fashion house who kicked off their ready to wear show in Paris last month with a celebrity filled party celebrating “30 Years of Creation” with Tyan.

Their newest festive offering is a stunning Swarovski inspired collection. Each colour contains crystal powder that gives every shade a shimmering sheen. For the eyes there are two new star limited edition palettes with tone to tone shades of mauve with metallic silver and bronze or violet with iridescent white and pink. The jewel in the crown for the lips is the Rouge Dior lipstick in a tender pink. With a sparking purple eyeliner and silver purple long lasting nail lacquer this glistening glamour is irresistible.

If you’re now as excited about Christmas as I am and dying to treat yourself to the majestic collection you need to wait till Monday when it goes on sale exclusively at Selfridges. Stores nationwide and online (at the Beauty Quest – it’s all too easy!) will stock the Dior 2009 Christmas look from 2^nd November. That gives me just enough time to purchase a party dress to match.
