Wellaflex Silvikrin launch the Heat Creations range
Heated tools can mean serious hair damage, yet none of us want to wave goodbye to our beloved straighteners. What’s a girl to do? Wellaflex Silvikrin have taken this dielmann on board and created a Heat Creations range designed to allow you to style without fear. Their new range aims to provide your hair with maximum protection from your heated tools and even use the heat to allow you to create styles that last longer.
There are two products on the range, the Heat Creations Blow Dry Spray and the Heat Creations Hairspray. I constantly use heated tools, so would definitely consider trying these products out- watch this space for a full review soon.

8 things you didn’t know about Benefit Cosmetics
I’m usually not a fan or reprinting press releases verbatim, but when one from Benefit popped into my inbox, I was so amused by their collection of brand facts that I thought it was worth sharing with you guys! It’s no secret I’m a big fan of the Benefit brand, so reading about some of the decisions behind my favourite products made an interesting read. Enjoy!
1. Benetint was first created as a nipple stain for an exotic dancer in 1977 who came into the Benefit boutique looking for something to make her nipples rosy when she danced.
2. Benefit shapes & grooms over 3000 brows a day at our famous brow bars located around the world.
3. Benefit co-founders Jean & Jane almost opened up a Casserole Shop instead of a makeup shop! They flipped a coin and thanks goodness it landed on cosmetics!
4. Bad Gal Lash mascara is the #1 bestselling product in the world. One Bad Gal lash is sold every 30 seconds.
5. Random fact, the pigmented wax inside Brow zings was actually inspired by mortician’s wax.
Miami Travel Essentials : The Top Five Products to Pack
There are many places to travel to in the world- the beautiful shores of Thailand, the slopes of Switzerland and the glacial beauty of Iceland. Each destination requires different beauty products however, as the differing climates and humidity can make your skin play up if you’re not careful. In the first of our destination travel guide editions I suggest the product you might need for a trip to Miami.
I’m not going to address what you should pack in your carry-on, as that’s a separate post, but rather look at the beauty products that you should have in your suitcase, as they may make all the difference between being a beach goddess and beach burn-out.
A Good Sunscreen
Miami is known for having major rays, and whilst that will feel great, you don’t want to burn accidentally. use a minimum of SPF30, and if you do a lot of watersports consider a waterproof version- and apply regularly. I love the Lancaster Sun products, as they’re great for fair skin, and don’t clog the pores.

A good quality night moisturizer is key to keeping your complexion soft and smooth, but Clinique have upped the stakes with a moisturizer that promises to fight the signs of ageing whilst you sleep. It’s called Youth Surge Night and uses Sirtuin technology to do this. Sirtuins are proteins which help extend the lifespan of the skin and make it look more youthful.
Product Review: Tigi S Factor Diamond Dreams Conditioner
There are many conditioners in the world, but few that come infused with diamonds, champagne and pearls- a truly decadent treat for the hair. I was a little wary at first that this would be a novelty product with the ingredients added purely for their name, rather than their properties. However this exceeded my expectations as it left my hair feeling silky soft, nourishing it from root to tip and smelling rather divine as well.
It’s infused with Shea Butter to add extra moisture and they sat that the Crushed Pearls in the mixture help create a shimmer effect on the hair. It had a really nice thick texture to it and felt pleasurable when I was running it through the hair, as it felt instantly softer, even when wet. It was easy to rinse out as well, and as it’s sulphate free so it conditions without stripping colour.
