Three of the best: Limited Edition Cosmetics

There’s something about a limited edition that turns my insides to mush. Perhaps it’s the fact that you know they won’t be long on the shelves, or it’s the exclusiveness of owning something that others can’t get, but I seriously can’t get enough of them. The packaging always seems to be very impressive on limited ranges, and I’ve rounded up three of my current favourites for you to ogle! If you love them, make sure you buy them now, as once they’re gone your only recourse is eBay.

Paul & Joe Limited Edition Eye Colour

Three flattering shades are packed into this pretty floral printed palette, and will be perfect for creating sultry eyes.

Clarins Coton Flower Face Palette

This looks so delicious I’m not sure I could bring myself to use it. The delicate cotton flower motif is pressed onto the complexion smoothing face powder, creating a whimsical summer feel to this powder.

Three of the best: Deep cleansing shampoos

have naturally wavy hair, which is pretty frustrating as I tend to like wearing it thick and curly or super sleek. To achieve the desired looks I tend to use a lot of product, starting from heat protection spray, plus straightening gel/ volumizing mousse, finished off with shine spray, a slick of serum and sometimes perfumed hair spray. This leads to quite a lot of product build-up on the hair, so I need a shampoo that can through;ly remove all the products, as well as leave my hair clean and shiny. Here are my favourite deep cleansing shampoos.

Origins Clear Head Mint Shampoo

This shampoo has a delicious mint fragrance which really makes my head feel like it has been well cleaned. It lathers up nicely and seems to remove every last bit of pro

Miami Travel Essentials : The Top Five Products to Pack

There are many places to travel to in the world- the beautiful shores of Thailand, the slopes of Switzerland and the glacial beauty of Iceland. Each destination requires different beauty products however, as the differing climates and humidity can make your skin play up if you’re not careful. In the first of our destination travel guide editions I suggest the product you might need for a trip to Miami.

I’m not going to address what you should pack in your carry-on, as that’s a separate post, but rather look at the beauty products that you should have in your suitcase, as they may make all the difference between being a beach goddess and beach burn-out.

A Good Sunscreen

Miami is known for having major rays, and whilst that will feel great, you don’t want to burn accidentally. use a minimum of SPF30, and if you do a lot of watersports consider a waterproof version- and apply regularly. I love the Lancaster Sun products, as they’re great for fair skin, and don’t clog the pores.

Product Review: Tigi S Factor Diamond Dreams Conditioner

There are many conditioners in the world, but few that come infused with diamonds, champagne and pearls- a truly decadent treat for the hair. I was a little wary at first that this would be a novelty product with the ingredients added purely for their name, rather than their properties. However this exceeded my expectations as it left my hair feeling silky soft, nourishing it from root to tip and smelling rather divine as well.

It’s infused with Shea Butter to add extra moisture and they sat that the Crushed Pearls in the mixture help create a shimmer effect on the hair. It had a really nice thick texture to it and felt pleasurable when I was running it through the hair, as it felt instantly softer, even when wet. It was easy to rinse out as well, and as it’s sulphate free so it conditions without stripping colour.

Three of the best: Budget body moisturisers

Best body lotionsThe sun has peeked its head out of the clouds and it’s time for us all to consider baring our pins once more. A lifetime of winter and the accompanying neglect means you want to smooth and soften them, but as you’re blowing your budget on pretty frocks, you want to find a quality product that doesn’t cost the earth.

These are three top body lotions that will get your skin feeling super soft, and let you save your cash for those Kurt Geiger shoes…

Johnson’s 24hour Moisture Extra Rich Body lotion

Beloved of both babies and adults alike, Johnson’s is known for producing high quality products that are gentle on the skin. They’ve recently reformulated their 24hour Moisture range to make it literally sink into the skin when you apply it, and have lots of charts and graphs to prove that you’ll still be feeling the effects 24 hours after application. As well a higher levels of emollients and glycerin (which help the skin retain moisture) they’ve also added a drop of oil to the lotion for dry skin, which feels very soft on application and has a non greasy finish.

Vanilla perfumes: Three of the best

Vanilla scents aren’t just the domain of the pre-teen crowd as many adult women can enjoy the complexities of this delicious scent. I’m a big fan of vanilla based perfumes, and will share with you the three best vanilla scents that don’t make you feel like you ned to start plaiting your hair or wearing pink ribbons. Vanilla can be an exquisite fragrance when blended correctly, and here are three perfumes that share the warmth and tone of this delicious ingredient.

Angel by Thierry Mugler

This has been my favourite scent for many years as it combines an intoxicating mix of vanilla, sandalwood and patchouli with elements of fresh citrus and plum. It’s one of those Marmite scents as many find it too sweet, whilst others adore it. part of the desirability is due to the fact that every bottle comes with a miniature blue envelope and a card inviting you into the ‘Angel family’, which makes you feel part of something larger. The star shaped blue bottle has also achieved iconic status, and looks fabulous on the dresser.

A week of non stop shows, constant parties and champagne breakfasts may sound like your idea of heaven, but all this partying means little sleep, which can badly effect the quality of the skin. When you’re always on the go it’s important that your makeup can keep up with you, and these are my five [...]
