I try not to pick favourites with nail brands, but slowly but surely Orly has crept into the number one spot, and it may remain there indefinitely. Perhaps it’s the myriad of colour choices, the long lasting power of the shades, or that you can get away with only one coat (hallelujah) which dries really quickly. They’ve just told me all about their new Platstix Collection and I’m very excited. It pays homage to 1980 style brights and the lovely looking Purple Pleather has to be my pick of the bunch.

The Plastix finish is supposed to gibe yout nails a rubbery matte finish which sounds really exciting. The shades look like they’ll be flattering, and allow you to work the neon look with minimum effort. Long live Orly!

Eyeko Limited Edition Nail Shades

There’s something really dull about sticking to the traditional nail colours, so brighten up your fingertips with the latest limited edition shades from Eyeko. Two coats will give you glossy nails, and their shades are anything but ordinary.

They’ve just released news of three brand new shades, and we love how playful they are, and how they aren’t afraid to experiment with colour.

Firstly you have Vampira, blackish red varnish for the Twilight generation.

Next we have my fave, the Saucy Polish, an odd mix between cherry red and ketchup.

The Petite Polish is unashamedly feminine with a lovely light finish and baby pink shade.

And best of all, they’re all £3! Bargain.

Jennifer Aniston’s first scent has just gone on sale, and it’s a whimsical mix of floatiness and Grecian delights. “I wanted this fragrance to be a personal library of scent memories. For example, my love of night blooming jasmine has lasted a lifetime. Growing up in California, I distinctly remember the scent of the jasmine on summer evenings,” comments Jennifer. She hasn’t mentioned anything about the fact that she’s posing naked on a rock, but hey, it’s good to show Brad what he’s missing out on right? Personally, I’m a big fan of Ms Aniston, and her perfume sounds lovely, light and unpretentious with some very delectable ingredients.

The fragrance combines top notes of citrus grove and Rose water with jasmine and lily for a soft romantic feel. The base is muskier with woody notes of amber and sandalwood, making it last a long time, and adding some mystery to the scent. Sounds Lovalie to me- get it now, exclusively at HARRODS.

Epibronze Fake tan that gives you a real tan- seriously?

Epibronze is the latest self tan on the block, but it goes a little further than your average ‘hint of tan’ moisturiser. The secret is in the formulation, as not only does it give the skin a lovely golden glow, but it also encourages production of melanin- meaning you get a fake AND natural tan. For realzies. Eylure ‘The Collection is Luxe’ uses Swarovski Elements

How much would you spend on a pair of false eyelashes? Realistically they only have 2-3 wears, if you don’t mess up up on the first application, so paying anything over £15 seems a little crazy to me. I say that, and then I look at this Luxe Collection from Eyliure and I want every single set! They utilize Swarovski crystals on the lashes for a really luxury look, and they’d make your eyes majorly pop.

USA Crave: Tarina Tarantino Makeup

I’m a big fan of Tarina Tarantino jewelry, so it’s no surprise I love her makeup collection. sadly though, it’s not for UK citizens as it can only be found in the USA!

The new collection is entitled Candy Cameo Fashion and features a pretty pink ensemble covered with neon hearts and bows and beady black accents. The collection combines playfulness with Barbie chic and allows you to use lip gloss style rings and peachy powder for a sexy girly look.

Sigh. I hate being shown toys I can’t play with!

Brand New Benefit Palettes!

I get very excited about new Benefit products as I love how the brand really thinks about what people need and creates something that is not only functional but incredibly stylish as well. I go gaga over their funky blusher boxes, and when I saw these Art Deco inspired palettes I knew I was in beauty heaven. Problem is, they’re a USA exclusive- boo!

There are two palettes on offer, Benefit Scene Queen The New Annie Collection and Benefit Sunday Funday The New Maggie Collection. The Benefit Scene Queen palette (pictured) is my fave as it features bright colours and all the tools you’d need for a smoky eye. You get Coralista, High Beam and more- all in a to die for kit!

The Sunday Funday Collection is equally lovely but features lighter colours, and I tend to go for drama obver everything. I think we all need to start saving up for a trip to the USA!

Shrek Forever Apple Chapstick launched!

Chapsticks don’t normally top my makeup wish list, but when this little beauty popped onto my desk I was completely sold. Not only does the chapstick look ultra cute in lime green with a bashful Shrek peering out at you, but it also smells incredibly strongly of apples. Now this could be a bad thing if you hate the fruit, but I love apples and adored the sweet scent. The chapstick is created in collaboration with the new film ‘Shrek Forever’ which comes out in two weeks!

Lips are softer, smell great and SPF15 keeps them safe from the sun!
